I always like a little zebra print in the home. Here are a few good examples of bringing a little safari into your home.

Happy New Year and Cheers to 2014! I hope you had a lovely celebration kicking off the start of the new year. I'm especially excited for all that the new year brings! Here's to a great one!
The Christmas Holiday is here and I hope you've gotten to take some time to enjoy the season! I love seeing how people decorate for the holidays. Weather they choose to be simple or over the top it's fun to see people's personality in they decor. I hope you have a joyous Christmas and enjoy the time with your family!
A couple beautiful bedrooms that are too pretty not to share. A bedroom is such an important space to have beautiful. Its the space that should be your retreat and an area where you can start your day refreshed. So why not start the day feeling good and inspired!
I love the holiday season! It's really is a wonderful time of the year! It's been a beautiful Sunday here in Des Moines as a soft white snow has been falling all day. I've been baking and enjoying the Christmas decorations at my house. I hope you are enjoying your holiday season as well!
I'm loving the mix of colors and patterns in this dining area. The color is fun but also still very sophisticated! The perfect blend in this designers book!
Baby things have been happening at the Blum house. We are happily getting ready for our first child! It's exciting and a bit overwhelming preparing for our little one. I have been busy working on the nursery. I put together the olioboard above of the items in this special new room! We aren't finding out the sex so I'm keeping it really neutral, soft, and babyish. I'll add some touches of soft pink or blue once the bundle of joy arrives. The bottom pictures are a few inspiration photos for Baby Blum's room. I'll share the finished picture in a few months when the room is done!
Color, Pattern, and Fun is the mix in this home! It has a fantastic blend of all three! The graphic pattern is used to accent in pillows and artwork. Love the fun feeling of this house and mix of styles.
There's nothing better than a beautiful clean aesthetic in a home. Sometimes it's best to keep is simple both in design and color selections. I really appreciate this clean look in this home. I also think the use of color is very soothing and fits the style nicely. Enjoy!
Been a little busy installing a great new project! I've been working on this house for the last year and half and it turned out great! I spent two weeks pulling this house together and the homeowners have finally arrived. More pictures and details soon but I thought I'd share what I've been up to.
The kitchen was the biggest project we tackled in our house. It was so much work but we couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. It was good for me to go through a kitchen remodel as I now have a better understanding of what my clients go through when they do it. Because our house has such old bones I didn't want to stray to far from a classic kitchen. I wanted it to look like it could of been there forever but had some modern touches added. I've always been drawn to a black and white combo with marble so the kitchen was actually fairly easy for me to design. Yes, I fretted about many small decisions but the overall direction was an easy one for me. It is still a work in progress. I have backsplash being installed in a couple of weeks and I still need to figure out the window treatments. I know both of those things will add a major impact to the space.
There wasn't a bathroom on the main floor so we tucked one in the kitchen. We knew it was now or never with the remodel and I'm so glad we did it! It's itty bitty but it is cute! Below are the before pictures of the kitchen.
