Hummingbirds

I have the joy of working with many people in my job, clients you might call them. But many clients become friends as well and it becomes secondary that I am there with them  to go over a rug, a sofa, or window treatment. Instead we spend time catching up, talking about a fun new fashion purchase, or the best new restaurants. These deeper connections and friendships I am truly thankful for. My life is full because of them and I love having them in my life. I know that it is my job that brought us together but essentially it is the bond between people that connected us as friends.  I recently lost one of these friendships and today was a celebration for her. Her zest for life, style, and people will be something I will always cherish. She was a beautiful person inside and out and I am thankful that she was part of my life.

Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy, and celebration. The hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation.

Currently Loving

 Have you seen Mary McDonald's new fabric line for Schumacher?  I have only seen a few memo samples in person and have loved every one of them. I can't wait to see the rest of them. I love, love, love everything Mary does and know her fabric line will be a new favorite! Her use of color, tradition, and pattern are why I look up to her as a designer! Can't wait to share more of these fabulous new patterns!

Forgive me for my absence.....

 Hello! I am alive and well, I've just been a little sidetracked! I hope you can forgive me! I left you last fall right as we were moving into our new home. A home that has taken on a major remodel. We've spent every extra ounce of our time working on this beauty.  So, I hope you understand my absence. It wasn't my intention to stop blogging, I just haven't had enough hours in the day for far too long! My working life has been as  busy as ever which is what I love, but my free time has been very limited. We are nearing the end of lots of major projects.  It's funny as I tell people of everything we have/are doing I almost can't believe how hard we have worked on this house already.  I'm excited to share the progress and updates with you! It will be awhile before we really get it to the way we want it but we've made so much progress in only 4 months. So stay tuned as I share the progress and updates with you in the coming weeks! I hope all is well in your world!

Wedding Inspiration

My little sister is getting married this weekend! It's been fun helping plan for her big day! She is going for a vintage fall wedding. It's going to be beautiful and I can't wait to celebrate her big day!

 I featured the sun room of this home earlier this week but I really appreciate this entire house. It is so pretty! I especially like the all white walls. It is letting the furniture, lighting, and accents do the talking! Lot's of great details in this beautiful home!
