Cupcakes!!!

I received a new Olive & Cocoa catalog in the mail over the weekend and I feel in love with these mini cupcake stands. Aren't they adorable?? I think they are the cutest things ever! It would be so pretty to have a spread of them at your next party! How cute would it be to have some of these cupcakes on them?

Relax a little!

Happy Friday! You made it through another week of this cold weather! I hope you kick back and relax a little this weekend! I could lounge on this chaise all weekend and possibly sip on a little champagne too! Cheers!

New Fabrics

Seeing all the beautiful fabrics is one of my favorite parts of being a designer. They can make or break a design. Or they can take an ordinary piece of furniture & make a truly spectacular statement. These are a few new beauties out on the market. I really like the sophistication of the embroidered silk and the pops of color! Enjoy!

Leopard is...

"Leopard is my favorite color" Derek Blasberg
I am a sucker for animal print and love how it can be inter-mixed so easily in a room. What a dramatic study above! Love it!

Could you do....

A PINK ROOM???

I know I could!!! I love the pink accents in this room. It is so fun, pretty, & fresh! I could easily live in a room like this! I feel like a pink room would be something you might think you would get tired of but would end up loving. Oh... how lovely!

New Book- Mary McDonald Interiors

I am a huge book geek and love getting new ones. When I heard Mary McDonald was putting together a book I knew it would be a good one. I adore her style! I got the Allure of Style this fall and enjoyed the beauty in every page. Mary is a wonderful designer and I admire her for many things. She mixes traditional, glamorous, & modern pieces to create truly unique rooms. If you haven't seen this book yet I highly recommend it!

Jennifer Lopez's chandelier

I was chatting with two of my clients yesterday about my post the other day and they both commented on this chandelier in Jennifer Lopez's home. I adore it and have for some time. I have shown it to multiple clients to use in their projects but it hasn't meant to be. Needless to say it has been one that I have admired for awhile. Let me know if your wanting to bring a little JLo beauty home!

White Out!

The snow has been falling for at least 36 hours and Des Moines is covered in white! It's such a peaceful look outside right now, much like this pure room!

I'm Loving.....

I'm Loving this Gourmet Kitchen! Love, Love, Love! What a great mix of charcoal cabinets, cream island, beautiful hood, and my all time favorite, marble! Surely if I had a kitchen like this I would have a gourmet meal every night. Or at least look great having my glass of wine in it!The title of the article on the Atlanta Home & Lifestyle Magazine calls it a Family Jewel and I think it is just that!

Jennifer Lopez's California Home

I have been a Jennifer Lopez fan for awhile. Not only do I like her music but I admire her impeccable taste. Her life is so stylish and every aspect of it has been styled to a T. Not to mention her children are so well dressed! Jennifer's home was featured in this months Veranda and I was not disappointed. Her home in California has a very serene feeling to it. I love the soft palate with the touch of glamour to it! Enjoy!

Color of The Year!

The color of the year was announced by Pantone a few weeks ago and the winner is.... Honeysuckle.
You'll soon see this color splashed all over fashion giants, interiors, or at your local makeup counter. What a colorful way to welcome the new year!
See Pantone's explanation of this color:
“Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday” about it.”
I love seeing this color in the home and here are a few ways to incorporate it into a room.
