A wonderful collection of fabric. Which color would you choose? The depth of color is so beautiful, I'm not sure I could pick just one! It would be so fun to design a room around some of these colors. I have a new fascination with orange and would really like to design a room with it. Have a lovely Tuesday!!!!

The very talented, Australian Designer Anna Spiro had a wonderful feature in this month's issue of Canadian House & Home. The issue features the designer's own home in Brisbane, Australia. Anna also has a blog that I have been reading for awhile. I think it was one of the first blogs I followed regularly. I love the way she uses color and her love of pink. Enjoy!!

This designer has used Schumacher's Imperial Trellis in many different applications. It looks so wonderful in her study.

Girls Weekend!!

The high heels are coming out and all the cute outfits! It's a girls weekend for me and I couldn't be more excited! I'm taking off to Kansas City to spend the weekend with the girls! We are having fabulous weather in Des Moines right now! It is so refreshing and wonderful to spend so much time outside! The sunny days are also exactly what I've been needing! Trina Turk is a well known fashion designer based in sunny California. Trina is known for her geometric patterns that are mixed with prints derived from natural motifs. Her philosophy is to create wearable, optimistic fashion that incorporates the best aspects of classic American sportswear. Trina's boutique's are bold and stunning! The following are some of here stores throughout the country. As you can tell she isn't afraid of color which is so refreshing to see!

Trina Turk partnered with Schumacher fabrics last year & came out with a wonderful collection of indoor/outdoor fabrics. Many of the fabrics were originally designed for her resort collections and are inspired by her poolside lifestyle. The fabrics of this collection are fashion- influenced; bright and breezy shades and full of drama. I love the modern appeal of these fabrics! The following are some of her fabrics for Schumacher.

Designer's On Design Seminar at The Mansion

On Saturday I am leading a special design seminar at The Mansion. I am giving a talk on Outdoor Spaces. We'll be looking at all the beautiful indoor outdoor fabrics & also be talking about how to make your outdoor space one of the favorite rooms in your home! The seminar is at The Mansion in Des Moines and begins at 1:00 PM. It is free and is open to have anyone attend! Please let me know if you have any questions.

The Wedding Season begins!

We are kicking off our season of weddings this weekend and I couldn't be happier! I'm looking forward to getting out my dancing shoes and hitting the dance floor! My childhood friend is getting married and I am so honored to be a part of her wedding! It's supposed to be a beautiful Saturday and the Spring flowers are starting to bloom. I had so much fun planning our wedding last year and have missed scouring the wedding blogs for pretty pictures. So needless to say I'm happy to share some beautiful wedding pictures with you!
