Classic Home

I think this home has a nice mix of casual and traditional elements. The beauty of having a mix in styles makes for a very classic look. Plus it is refreshing to see the pop of color in this home.

Mexico!

I spent a great week in Manzanillo, Mexico with my husband and a few of our friends. What a fabulous week of sunshine, relaxing, and the sea! We rented a house right on the ocean and it was perfect! Plus it was pretty spectacular to fall asleep to the ocean everynight.

The view atop one of our mountain climbs. We didn't quite make the 4 hour trek to the top but this was a fun adventure!

The hubby and I on our way to dinner. Not the best picture but I like the perspective of the water and mountains.

The house we rented was indoor/outdoor and had lots of unique details. My favorite was this pattern on the wall to our bedroom. A fun pattern and something you could bring into your garden or home depending on where you live. I saw the picture below from the Viceroy Hotel that has a similar pattern in its interiors. Lots of fun inspiration!

Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope you have a day filled with all the love you deserve. I thought the picture from Brooke Shields Manhattan home was fitting for today's post. We rarely think about decorating with hearts in our home but the art above her fireplace is beautiful! It's also something that looks stunning all year long! Enjoy!!

Heading South!!

Today I'm leaving the cold midwest weather to the hot sunny weather in Mexico! I am really looking forward to taking some time and relaxing by the ocean! We are taking the trip with some friends and staying in a beautiful house right on the water! Looking forward to coming home re-charged and inspired!
